December 2, 2018 – Brooklyn Accordion Club Holiday Concert

Are you looking for an incredibly unique and jolly way to celebrate the season? Join Bachtopus and the Brooklyn Accordion Club at Berg’n the first weekend in December to drink brews, sing holiday tunes, and immerse yourself in accordion majesty. This concert will feature accordion soloists and a “MEGA ENSEMBLE” of accordions and other instrumentalists directed by Dr. Denise Koncelik.

Bachtopus performs as the “house band” for a live taping of the entertaining and informative podcast “Person Place Thing,” hosted by Emmy Award winner Randy Cohen.  The featured guest is Marc Guggenheim, screen and television writer. October 28, 2018 – St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Bachtopus performs at 4pm as part of the Music in Chelsea series, whose proceeds go to the St. Peter’s food pantry. The program features the music of Peter Flint, Nathan Koci, Philip Glass, Arvo Pärt, Guy Klucevsek, J.S. Bach, and the Motion Trio.

July 27, 2018 – AAA Master Class Seminars, NYC

Bachtopus will be performing a short set with Dr. William Schimmel during the 24th annual AAA Master Class and Concert Series at the Tenri Cultural Institute in New York City. We will feature an original piece by Dr. Schimmel, Doug Makofka, and an arrangement by our own Jeanne Velonis. The evening concert will take place from 7-9pm. May 6, 2018 – St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Bach. We are also excited to feature work by Arvo Pärt, a new arrangement from Jeanne Velonis, and a premier of new work by Peter Flint.
